C.A.R.E. (stands for Children’s Activity and Recreational Environment) is the CFSD before and after school child care program offered at each of our four elementary schools to enrolled students. Our goal is to provide a safe environment where your child can enjoy a broad range of planned activities with their friends. Some of these activities include arts, crafts, cooking, sports, quiet and active games, community service projects, as well as time to do homework. Hours: 7am - 8am After School: 5:30pmFull Day CARE on non-school days: 7am - 5pm * Requires a separate contract, complete by enrolling in the Breaks - Full Day CARE.) Rate: $7 per hour Please schedule ahead of time Billing occurs on Mondays based on the previous week’s attendance Late scheduling will incur a $25 charge

In-District, Valley View ELC and Continuing Open Enrollment Families’ Kinder Plus applications will begin being processed January 21, 2026, pending completion of Regular Kindergarten enrollment. New Open Enrollment Families’ Kinder Plus applications will begin being processed February 9, 2026, pending completion of Regular Kindergarten enrollment. Kinder Plus applications will not be processed until Community Schools receives confirmation from the school that your child’s Regular Kindergarten Registration has been received. As such, there are no guaranteed Kinder Plus spots...However, the district will do its best to accommodate as many families as possible in the Kinder Plus program.
